And if like me you are a visual learner, BEHIND THE LENS was designed with you in mind.
Transitioning to Personal Branding as a wedding or portrait photographer is just a matter of translating the skills you already have, it doesn't have to be a huge undertaking.
But life is easier if you can learn from someone doing it right now.
Instead of just listening to or reading about tips and tricks, you can WATCH me in action, tackling real-life situations and witnessing first hand how I use all the insight and techniques I've learnt throughout my career (and that I now teach) to create beautiful shoot experiences for my personal brand clients.
With BEHIND THE LENS, you get valuable insight into how I operate under pressure - always with the goal of ensuring my clients have the best experience and walk away with images they love and can't wait to use.
Rather than relying on a scripted outline of content, you'll have the opportunity to observe me in action, trouble shooting on the fly and see how I course correct when things might not go to plan.
It's simply a 'day in the life' of me - a working photographer - as it unfolds.
(And I am also not shy at sharing how much dirt & crap gets stuck to my butt - as I will do just about anything to get the good angles)
It all comes down to sharing the authentic side of our industry.
Cause I truly believe that's the juicy stuff you need to know and can really learn from!
I carried bags, I held reflectors and I fluffed SO many dresses...
But I know that learning from the sidelines was the best way for me to gain insights in how to make people feel confident & relaxed, give them a fab experience and of course capture images they will love for life.
These invaluable lessons could have taken many years and costly mistakes to learn on my own, and I look back now with gratitude for the backstage pass I was granted.
And how good is it that in 2024 I can save you all the physical investment us old-schoolers had to make!
Cause you can now watch and learn in a fraction of the time from all of my experience from 15 years in weddings... combined with 10 years of glamour studio portraits... which is now beautifully blended into 7 years of capturing personal branding (and counting)...
(Yes I did start at age of 20 and some of those years overlap - thank you)
